Welcome

I am so glad you stopped by. This blog is all about getting things for free. Yes there is such a thing as FREE, and I will show you how to get these items. As we know not EVERYTHING in life is free so for those things I will show you how and where to find deals. I live for finding deals and get such a high when I find a good one. Not only do I love finding deals but I love being a wife and mother. This blog will not only be about the deals that I find but about the daily joys and struggles as a parent.

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Hi, I hope some of you woke up to something other than snow this morning. Who ever said we could trust a groundhog to give us the weather forecast? If any of you were wondering my husbands hand is not broken, just badly bruised and still a bit swollen. If you are a parent you know that it is never a dull moment in your house. Yesterday evening as I was making dinner, the girls were in the living room playing. I looked out to see what they were doing and Izzy was smearing a glue stick on her lips thinking it was chapstick. I know many of you are thinking why was a glue stick left out? Brynn had been doing a craft when Izzy was napping and all the stuff was still out on the little craft table and I forgot about it. Izzy was a sticky mess but the good news is luckily it wasn't super glue!

You are probably wondering why I have a picture of coupons.  How many of you think you are too good to use coupons or they are to much of a hassle to use? I used to be that person until I realized all the FREE and very cheap things you can get when you use coupons. To be honest coupons have become a bit of an obsession recently.  I am just now really getting into using them and understanding how to get a bigger bang for my buck.  I will be sharing with you over the next couple of days the coupon lingo, where to shop and how to use coupons. If you have any tips on coupons please feel free to share!

When you are first starting to coupon it might seem overwhelming and you may not understand what the words mean that I will be referring to.  Here are a list of what the abbreviations mean:

RP :: Red Plum coupon insert found in the Sunday newspaper
SS :: Smart Source coupon insert found in the Sunday newspaper
P&G :: Proctor & Gamble coupon insert found in the Sunday newspaper

I also recommend getting the Sunday paper. The Crazy couponers suggest getting multiple copies of the Sunday paper for the coupons but if you are just starting as I am I would suggest 1 copy. Also keep these coupons even until they expire because you never know when a great deal will come along and you will need to use them. A great book to read is: Pick Another Checkout  Lane Honey by Joanie Demer and Heather Wheeler. This book explains how to become an expert couponer.
If you want to get a copy of the book you can go here to get it for $13.59 through Amazon. This qualifies for free shipping if you have amazon prime. I will also be posting coupon deal scenarios that will get you free or cheap things that she comes up with. I hope that I didn't confuse you too much. Later today I will be posting some deals that will get you free items from using coupons. Don't forget the target deals that I had posted yesterday.

  1. Ahh! We need to link our pages up or something! I have been working on getting together a video on my coupon binder and I was just going to start with lingos and stuff in the next couple of days! I think we are on the same frequency! lol
